A road in Sandown has been closed today (Wednesday) to enable Southern Water contractors to carry out repairs to a sunken cover.
Hill Street has been closed from its junction with Nunwell Street to its junction with Grove Road for a distance of 62 meters.
The diversion will be via Station Avenue, Broadway & Leed Street.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The temporary traffic order was put in place at 12:00 hours on 27th May 2020 and will remain in place for a maximum period of five days or until the works are completed whichever is sooner.
