All 5 Isle of Wight cricket sides beat mainland opposition on Saturday (3rd June).
Henry Bartlett starred with bat and ball for Ventnor as the South Wight side chalked up their 3rd successive victory in Southern Premier Division 1 at Steephill on Saturday.
Ventnor lost the toss and were put into bat. The Island side lost their opening wickets cheaply with Tom Friend lasting just 6 balls before being caught by Jansen off the bowling of Williams and Dineth Thimodya also surviving just 6 balls before being caught by Mutambabi off the bowling of Veetil.
Henry Bartlett came to the crease as the 3rd batsman and scored 123 runs off 109 balls before being clean bowled by Mike Adams. He was supported by Ben Attrill (38), Ross Whyte (26) and Hugh Calloway (26).
Ventnor ended their innings with a solid total of 299-9.
In reply, Andover reached 287 all out with only 1 ball of their 50 overs remaining.
Mutambami top scored for Andover with 85 before being caught by Friend off the bowling of Attrill. Opener Glyn Treagus also made his half-century before being caught lbw off the bowling of Thimodya for 51.
Henry Bartlett was the pick of the Ventnor bowlers with 3-51. Chris Russell (2-29), Hugh Calloway (2-52) and Ben Attrill (2-33) all picked up braces of wickets for Ventnor.

Ventnor’s win sees the South Wight side rise to 4th place in the Southern Premier Division 1 table with 68 points from 4 games.
The match against Andover began with a minute’s silence to remember talented Ventnor cricketer Tommy Barton, who was killed in Ryde on 28th May.

In Hampshire Division 4 (South), Ventnor 2nds continued their impressive form with a 209-run victory over Hythe and Dibden.
Rob Snell scored an impressive 171 not out and was supported by Neil Westhorpe (80 not out) in a Ventnor total of 322-2.
Hythe and Dibden were skittled out for 113 with Jack Powell (4-11) and Sam Read (3-31) causing the most damage for the Island side.

In Hampshire Division 1, Ryde picked up their 1st win of the season against Winton.
Ryde reached a total of 238 before being skittled out in the 49th over. Ben Gregory top scored for Ryde with a knock of 53 before being caught by Humphrey off the bowling of May.
Winton could only manage 130 in reply before being all out in the 36th over. Tom Durman was the pick of the Ryde bowlers with 3-15. Ben Gregory (2-31) and Frank Gumley (2-22) also took braces of wickets.

In Hampshire Division 4 (South), Ryde 2nds comfortably won their 1st game of the season by 6 wickets against Emsworth.
After being put into bat, Emsworth could only reach a modest total of 135-9 in their 45 overs.
Ryde surpassed the Emsworth innings for the loss of 4 wickets with 11 overs to spare. Wicketkeeper Ellis Ridett top-scored for the Island side with 59.

In Division 3 South, Shanklin & Godshill won their 2nd game in succession away to Southampton Community.
Shanklin & Godshill scored 181 before being skittled out in the 43rd over. Matt Lambourne top-scored for Shanklin with a knock of 34.
Southampton Community put on 150 in reply, before losing their final wicket in the 37th over. Ben White (3-32) and Ross Le Sueur (3-30) both picked up 3 wickets for the Island side; Matt Lambourne (2-25) and Harry Moore (2-26) took braces of wickets.
