Haylands Primary School Under 11s have made it through to the final of the ESFA Pokemon Primary School Cup – and will represent the South of England in the national competition.
The team travelled up to Keynsham, Bristol on Saturday (22nd March) to compete in the South West Regional Finals 2024-2025
The boys played 4 15 minutes games in the group stages and secured their place in the semi-final against St Benedict’s Junior School.
Haylands managed to win 1-0 after extra time and secured their place in the final and also a place in the nationals representing the south of England.
Haylands Primary School have said:
“Thank you to everyone that donated to get the boys to Bristol, the Nationals will be played on 16th May at Stoke City Football Club.
“It’s an amazing achievement, putting the Isle of Wight on the map.”
