Osborne Coburg beat 2nd-from-bottom Bembridge at Victoria Rec in their final game of the 2024/25 season.
Harry Green came close to giving Burg the lead on the quarter hour mark but had his ‘goal’ ruled offside.
Green then gave Coburg the lead in the 20th minute with a low strike from distance – his 39th goal of the season (1-0).
Darren Wood added a 2nd for the home side in the 36th minute from close range from a corner (2-0).
Half time: Osborne Coburg 2-0 Bembridge
Green came close to bagging his brace in the 62nd minute when he hit the upright after Bembridge substitute keeper Ant Kettle had been dispossessed.
2 minutes later, Brandon Tuckey then pulled a goal back for Bembridge after shooting into an empty goal after latching on to a long ball (2-1).
Coburg held their single goal advantage for the remainder of the game to take all 3 points and 6th spot in Harwoods Division 1.
