Harry Lake was recently crowned the 2019 Westridge GC Junior Order of Merit Champion following a fascinating final day filled with drama.
After 17 events during the year, there was still everything to play for in the lead up to the final challenge with Joel Tarry attempting to overtake Harry and take the win for himself.
However, Harry proved himself to be a worthy champion by winning the final event and make it an amazing total of 6 individual wins during the 2019 campaign.
A delighted Harry said:
“I’m thrilled to have won this year’s championship as it’s been a goal of mine for the past few years. I can’t put into words how it feels, but I’m absolutely delighted.
“Of course, none of this could have been achieved without the support of my mum & dad, Sharron & Matt, and just like all the Juniors at Westridge, we really do appreciate everything our parents’ do for us. I’m already dreaming of defending my trophy for 2020 and can’t wait for the new season to start!”
