Green Lane in Shanklin is due to close this afternoon (Wednesday) for emergency works – diversions will be in place and route changes for Southern Vectis buses.
Docklands Traffic Management has advised that Green Lane will close between Duncroft Gardens & Witbank Gardens from 13:30.
Diversions will be in place via Landguard Road, Carter Road, Regent Street, Atherley Road, Arthurs Hill, A3055 Sandown Road.
Southern Vectis Route 2 buses will divert from Cemetery Road via Sandown Road to Wilton Park Road and this will run in both directions.
UPDATE @ 14:15 – Island Roads has released the official Temporary Traffic Regulations Order (TTRO).
“Green Lane from its junction with Duncroft Gardens southern entrance for a distance of 59 metres in a northerly direction. Southern Gas Networks to carryout emergency repairs.
“The diversion will affect these streets: Landguard Manor Road, Landguard Road, High Street, North Road, Queens Road, Arthurs Hill, Sandown Road, Cemetery Road, Green Lane
“Diversion route(s) will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
“From 15:45 hours on 17th December 2019, for a maximum period of five days or until the works are complete, whichever is sooner.”
