REOPENED: GREEN LANE CLOSED FOR GULLY REPAIRS

Green Lane in Shanklin has been closed from its junction with Oaklyn Gardens to its junction with Princes Way – this is to enable emergency repairs by Island Roads to a collapsed gully.

The diversion route will be via Cemetery Road, Sandown Road, Newport Road, Whitecross Lane, Sandy Lane & Landguard Manor Road

Diversion routes will be signed at the time of the closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.

The road will be closed from 11:00 hours on 10th February 2020, for a maximum period of five days or until remedial works have been completed and the site made safe, whichever is sooner.

Southern Vectis buses are on diversion during the closure.

Route 2 will divert via Wilton Park Road and Sandown Road in both directions.

Stops in Green Lane cannot be served.

UPDATE @ 15:30 – Green Lane has now reopened to traffic according to Southern Vectis.

Buses can now resume normal line of route.
