Ventnor Tennis Club and Ryde Mead Lawn Tennis Club will open their courts to offer free tennis to kids, families and adults this Saturday and Sunday as part of the Lawn Tennis Association’s (LTA) Great British Tennis Weekend.
The Great British Tennis Weekend is a nationwide campaign to get more people to play tennis by offering a variety of tennis activities for free.
Ventnor Tennis Club will be running Mini Tennis, Junior and Social Mix-In tennis on Saturday (13th May), from 13:00-16:00, and Ryde Mead Lawn Tennis Club will offer Mini Tennis and Junior tennis, alongside Adult Coaching and Family Time on Saturday from 09:00-14:00.
Gurnard Pines Tennis Club will hold its Great British Tennis Weekend event on Sunday 28th May.

“Whether you’ve never picked up a racket before or you play regularly, there will be a Great British Tennis Weekend session to suit you and your friends and family! Ventnor Tennis Club and Ryde Mead Lawn Tennis Club are fantastic clubs so it’s great to see them getting involved in this national campaign to get more people playing tennis more often.”
Equipment will be provided and venues will be offering great promotional deals to participants on the day.
A second Great British Tennis Weekend will take place after the Wimbledon Championships on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July.
