The Texas Scramble at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club raised £1,574 for the Isle of Wight Golf Team on Sunday (3rd April).
The event was organised to fundraise for the Isle of Wight Golf Team to attend the Island Games in Guernsey in 2023.
In all, 120 golfers, making up 30 teams of 4 players, competed in the scramble.
The day proved a huge success with £1,574 being raised.
Kate Palfrey, representing the IWLGA (Isle of Wight Ladies Golf Association), said:
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who supported the event so generously and to Shanklin and Sandown for allowing us to use the course.”
Bob Bansi Singh said:
“We have been overwhelmed with positive comments about the day and are looking forward to hosting other events across the Island golf clubs throughout the year.”
