Galina Zastava from Ventnor has claimed victory in this year’s Isle of Wight Ladies Golf Association Veteran’s Trophy.
The Stableford competition, held on Monday 8th September, attracted 46 players from across the island. Galina finished first with 40 points, showing skill and consistency throughout the round.
Second place went to Brenda Keyte from Shanklin & Sandown with 38 points, earning the over-75s trophy. Jackie Evitts from Freshwater Bay took third with 37 points. Penny Diez, also from Freshwater Bay, scored 36 points, while Louise Webb from Westridge finished with 34 points.
The event highlighted both competitive spirit and camaraderie among the island’s veteran ladies golfers, making it a memorable day on the greens.
