FRESHWATER BAY’S JACKIE EVITTS TAKES VETERAN’S TROPHY AT COWES GOLF CLUB

Jackie Evitts from Freshwater Bay was the winner of the Isle of Wight Ladies Golf Association Veteran’s Trophy competition held at Cowes Golf Club on Monday 19th August. 53 players took part in the Stableford competition, with Jackie topping the field with a score of 40 points. 3 players were close behind carding 38 points, with Galina Zastava from Ventnor in 2nd place beating Penny Diez from Freshwater Bay and Louise Webb from Westridge on countback. Jackie also took home the over 75s trophy, which was presented to her alongside the Veteran’s trophy by IWLGA Captain Joan Dalrymple.
