Freshwater Bay Golf Club raised £1,200 at their Charity Challenge Day for the FYT Bus on Sunday 14th August.
Cliff Sanders produced a best-of-the-day score of 44 points to scoop the main individual prize, along with the pairs and team trophies.
In the Ladies’ event, Ros Pinnell just pipped Jackie Evitts by 1, with a score of 41 points.
2 other notable scores were: Mark Vallely, whose 42 points earned him 2nd place in the individual as well as winning the Veteran’s trophy, and Ben Timms who, at his first visit to the Bay, scored 38 points to win the away prize.
At the presentation, Club Captain Tony Hammonds thanked everyone for their support. He also gave special mentions to Sandra Tansley and Club Secretary Thomas Moore for their behind-the-scenes work, ensuring the day ran so smoothly.
