Freshwater Bay Golf Club’s Charity Day on Saturday (5th July) was a resounding success, raising £2,000 for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
A big congratulations goes to all the winners on the day. Gary Holmes took home the Singles title, while he and Cliff Sanders claimed victory in the Pairs. The Winning Team was made up of Dave Cooke, Ray Beere, Neil Butchers and Steve Newby. Jackie Evitts secured the top spot for the Winning Lady.
Club Captain Bill Evitts has praised the event and everyone involved, saying:
“The weather may not have been on our side but the atmosphere was fantastic. The Air Ambulance is a brilliant cause and I couldn’t be prouder of our members and guests who participated in the event.
“Thanks to everyone who made the day such a success.”
The club’s efforts will go a long way in supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which relies on donations to keep saving lives across the region.
