The victim of a fatal dog attack that occurred in Surrey back in January has been named as Natasha Johnston, a former Island resident.
28-year-old Johnston tragically died on 12th January in what Police described as a ‘tragic accident’.
The London-based dog walker was attacked by a group of dogs whilst walking through a forest at Gravelly Hill in Caterham, Surrey.
A total of 8 dogs remained in Police care for some considerable time before being rehoused in private kennels.
Natasha was raised here on the Island attending various schools here, before moving to the mainland.
Surrey Police have closed their investigations with no prosecution to be brought against any individuals.
A full inquest is to begin at Surrey Coroners Court on 29th June 2023.
Surely the dogs should have been gently put to sleep? Seems odd that they are rehomed, there must be far more to this tale than we are aware of?

You should read the article properly. The dogs have been rehomed in private kennels not homes. No one knows if the dogs that were with her attacked her. Also she was a professional dog walking for five years and trained dogs. Some of the dogs were hers.

Yesterday, on a 3 hour walk on footpaths etc I was growled at by off lead dogs on three separate occasions. Not once did the owner apologise or try to restrain their dogs. One elderly owner with her 4 terriers snapping at my heels told me to be careful as they were trip hazards….
I bet they would not have been happy if I launched one of them into orbit with a swift size 10 walking boot up their Jacksy. (The owner I mean, I wouldn’t hurt a dog)……
Interview all the dogs individually, ,start with the dachshounds first,
Why weren’t these dogs shot on the spot they have killed a person they are dangerous they need to be shot
