The Fisherman’s Cottage Inn in Shanklin re-opens for the 2023 season on Thursday (2nd February) with a special kids eat free offer.
The Island’s pub on the beach will be serving a winter warmer style menu every Thursday – Sunday, with roasts available every Sunday, until 23rd March from 12 noon.
During February The Fisherman’s Cottage Inn will be running a kids eat free promotion. Every child meal selected from the Kids Eat Free menu will not be charged for when ordered with a paying adult main meal.
Operations Manager of Shanklin Chine and the Fisherman’s Cottage Inn, Jo Porter, says:
“We are looking forward to a busy season down here at ‘the pub on the beach’. We understand that everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment and with half-term falling in the middle of February taking the little ones out can get expensive. We hope that by introducing our Kids Eat Free offer we will be able to tempt a few people out during this quiet month.
“Over the past few years hospitality in general has been hard hit and with the floods we experienced last year, we hope many Islanders and holiday makers come and experience and support their locals, including The Fisherman’s Cottage Inn. Whether you’re a regular or never visited us before, we look forward to welcoming you.”
The Fisherman’s Cottage Inn’s opening hours for February are:
● 2nd-5th: 12noon to 21:00. Food being served 12noon to 20:00
● 9th-19th: daily 12noon to 21:00. Food being served 12noon to 20:00
● 23rd-26th: Food being served 12noon to 20:00
The children’s menu is available to children under the age of 10 years old and will be served alongside the main menu during February from 12 noon Thursday to Sunday.

I hope the service has improved. There was a guy down there a couple of years ago who could give Bazil Faulty “a run for his money”.
We really enjoyed our meals there last September and October – and great service! Bad weather was the best time to go.
I’ve been living on the island 5 years and have never been there. I really must go this year.
