UPDATED: Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are this evening (Monday) tackling a fire that has broken out in Shanklin.
Black smoke can been seen rising from the public conveniences on Landguard Road at the junction with Falcon Cross Road.
There is currently at least one hose reel being used to tackle the fire.
Two appliances are in attendance having been called to the scene at around 18:55.
UPDATE: The fire has been extinguished and crews have left the scene.
The extent of the damage is currently unknown.
