VIDEO: Two pumping appliances from Ryde Fire Station have this evening (Wednesday) been called to a supermarket in Ryde following reports of a burning smell.
Firefighters were alerted to a burning smell coming from the ceiling of The Co-Operative Store in Anglesea Street shortly before 22:20 by staff members.
A ladder and thermal imaging camera have been used to inspect the building.
UPDATE: Both crews have now left the scene. No fire was discovered.
