FIREFIGHTERS CALLED TO BIN FIRE IN RYDE

Firefighters from Ryde were called to reports of a bin fire in Union Street this morning (Tuesday).

1 appliance attended the small-scale incident outside of Wetherspoons, where a pile of waste was found to be smouldering and extinguished with 1 hose reel jet.

The crew stood down just 11 minutes after being mobilised at 11.18am.

Oh for goodness sake did they need fire brigade ? A bucket of water would have saved a wasted call to the fire brigade.
