FIRE SERVICE ATTEND CHURCH HALL FIRE


Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue LogoUPDATED: Three appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a fire at a parish church hall in Freshwater this evening.

One appliance from Newport, one from Yarmouth and one from Freshwater were deployed to the scene in Victoria Road shortly before 19:15 after receiving reports of a heater ablaze.

UPDATE @ 19:50 – The electrical fire, which started in a heater unit, has been successfully extinguished by firefighters.

No one has been injured, it is understood.
