Debris falling from a block of residential flats, which were badly damaged by fire back in September, has forced the closure of a road in Newport for the second time.
Island Roads have closed West Street in the county town until further notice due to Napier Court being deemed unsafe.
The road was previously closed whilst repairs got underway on the partially-collapsed building, but it reopened several weeks ago. Now, as debris falls on the pavement, the decision has been made to once again close the road and footpath to the public.
Scaffolding around the building was only taken down this afternoon.
Napier Court was severely damaged following a fire on 28th September. 30 firefighters, 6 pumping appliances and an aerial ladder platform tackled the blaze.
