UPDATED: Firefighters are this afternoon (Monday) tackling a property fire in Lake.
Crews were called to the scene on Lea Road shortly before 12:15 following reports of a kitchen fire in a semi-detached bungalow.
Appliances from Sandown and Newport are currently tackling the fire, which is believed to have started with a pan being left on the cooker.
The building was smoke-logged upon arrival.
No one is believed to have been injured.
UPDATE – The property has been ventilated by firefighters, who have now left the scene and returned to station.
