UPDATED: Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a flat fire in Bembridge this evening (Sunday).
Crews from Bembridge and Ryde are tackling a fire in a ground floor flat off Crossway in the village. A third appliance from Sandown has been stood down.
The fire service were alerted to the incident at the housing association block at around 18:00.
UPDATE @ 18:40 – The fire has been contained and extinguished.
No one has been injured in the incident, which is now being brought to a close.
