UPDATED: Three appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are this afternoon (Monday) attending a suspected electrical fire in Yarmouth.
Firefighters from Yarmouth, Freshwater and Newport have been called to the River Yar boatyard on Gasworks Lane to a holiday property called ‘The Sail Loft’ after receiving reports of smoke rising from the building.
It is understood electrical cables are to blame for the call out, however it has been confirmed that no flames were discovered.
UPDATED: Crews were called shortly before 12:20, with two pumping appliances standing down shortly after.
Engineers from Southern and Scottish Energy have been called to the site by fire crews to make the scene safe.
No one has been injured in the incident.
