Firefighters have this evening tackled a kitchen fire at a property in Brading.
Two pumping appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, one from Sandown and one from Ryde, were called to a first floor flat in Lower Furrlongs shortly before 18:50 after receiving a 999 emergency call.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and tackled the blaze, which was caused by a cooker.
The fire has been extinguished and one crew have left the scene.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident, however an Emergency Care from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has attended the scene to check over an infant who was in the property at the time.
The incident was closed just before 19:30.
