Who are Island Nature? Is it some consultancy paid by the council to do work they could easily do themselves?
Sound more like a government funded quango.
Try Ty looking at their website
The website is not transparent. However, the contact email is Arc Consultancy, so there you go our council is squandering more money on useless consultants.
We need more houses not useless empty fields. Since I was lucky enough to be relocated here all the major housing developments have been put on hold!
Time Keir and Angela kept to their promise, let’s get BUILDING!
stop building houses and voila – nature wins
Could not have said it better myself, it’s really that simple. There are plenty of run down and derelict properties on the island, and they already have the foundations down so you know those areas aren’t going to flood when the rain comes in.
Stop allowing illegal arrivals to stay to be considered for asylum.
Then voila, less need for more housing
IW Council need to do their bit and house migrants.
I read yesterday that The Labour Party are housing
Migrants countrywide.
If any Landlord has properties available they can house them.
We are all gods children, peace and harmony
Give it a rest sam – the rest of us have to bust a gut to earn cash to pay for our housing – why should we be expected to simply hand over keys to properties to sponging freeloaders, that would be better utilised by hard working taxpayers.
the island is already full and we do not want or need any more freeloaders being located here, at the expense of islanders
What is the point of having empty properties
sitting idle, when they could house persons needing a
Roof over their head.
this isn’t some sort of hippy commune sam – we expect people to pay their way – not turn up here in a dinghy and get free housing, free food and free healthcare, that we have all had to pay for.
Right on Sam start with Ocean Hotel that would solve that problem if we spent the money on converting into a hostel for the homeless or refugees.
Well said Comrade we need more integration and imergration not less.
If that’s how you feel then why don’t you lot move to Palestine, so much integration and immigration going on there you’ll love it, it’s crazily diverse!
Nature recovery strategy? Really? Are they serious?
The Seaview Yacht Club was allowed to build a boat park over a swan nesting site, taking over part of the Seaview Hersey Nature Reserve. That’ how much care about nature there is here.
New builds are not the quality of old properties.
Modern day builders are not skilled like the old builders.
Fred you clearly have absolutely no idea of building.
