A car has left the road and ploughed straight through a hedge on the main road between Whitwell and Ventnor this afternoon (Monday).
The incident that occurred around 15:30, has seen a grey Ford Fiesta leave the road careering into a hedge just past Ventnor rugby club on Whitwell Road.
Police are in attendance at the scene which is believed to be a single vehicle-only collision.

Certainly not speeding much !! Another brilliant driver on this Island !! a 10 year ban would be welcoming…
More idiots will be along soon…
You wait till it rains, for those that still think tyres grip the same on wet as dry roads.
The idiots won’t understand what you have indicated….they are probably inbreds…or on drugs and boozed up…

I’m not surprised you have no job, who would employ an idiot like you…

2nd one of day as rear ender around 8-30am just before Whitwell. Something going on with Whitwell – quite a few accidents this last few weeks making IE.
The vehicle was only doing 30 mph and fully under the expert driver when the hedge leaped into the road, the driver was heard to say “I had to swerve 3 times befoe i hit it”
