The driver of a Ford Fiesta that led Police on a pursuit towards Brading, narrowly missing other vehicles on the road, is still being sought tonight (Thursday). At around 10:10 this morning, officers spotted a red Ford Fiesta being driven erratically in the car park of Tesco on Brading Road in Ryde. The driver failed to stop for officers and sped off, leading to a pursuit getting underway. The vehicle was last seen by Police on Beaper Shute, heading towards Brading. Island Echo readers say the vehicle zoomed through Brading Town, overtaking cars at excessive speeds, before going the wrong side of the Bullring junction and disappearing up The Mall. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says that enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver and the Ford Fiesta. If you have any information regarding this incident, such as the location of the car, then call Police on 101 quoting reference 44230520139.
