The Crown Inn in Shorwell has new owners after the leasehold of the historic pub was bought by Liam White and his business partner Simon Cant.
Liam and Simon already run The Castle Inn, Newport and The Vine Inn, St Helens.
They now add The Crown Inn, Shorwell to their growing portfolio.
Liam said:
“Having both previously managed the Crown Inn at different times, it held a special place in our hearts. So, when the opportunity arose to take it on, myself and Simon jumped at the
chance.“It is a beautiful pub situated in a stunning little village and we plan on continuing the hard work put into it by its previous owners and adding in our own style and brand that we carry across our other venues.”
Nick Earee, Divisional Director of Fleurets who marketed the property added:
“The Crown Inn is a significant part of the local community and I’m very pleased that we have found Liam and Simon who will undoubtedly carry on making the pub the
heart of the community.”

Lovely pub, let’s hope they do not increase the prices too much.
They have just acquired the Wheatsheaf in Newport too
Pubs are outpricing themselves.
You can eat in Wetherspoons for over half the costs these types of pubs charge.
Drinks and food much more expensive than Wetherspoons
Let’s hope they resist the temptation to ‘modernise’ it.
