UPDATED: Island Line train services between Brading and Shanklin have been suspended tonight (Sunday) due to a fallen tree on the line.
Services are expected to remain suspended until the end of service, meaning the next train will be as normal tomorrow morning.
The tree has come down near to Brading station.
This evening’s incident comes just hours after South Western Railway took control of the island’s train network – an unfortunate start for the new franchisee, but one that can’t be helped.
UPDATE @ 22:05 – The tree blocking the line has been removed and trains are now running normally between Brading and Shanklin.
