Wightlink has suspended its Yarmouth-Lymington route this morning (Monday) due to foggy conditions on the Western Solent. The cross-Solent operator says that the extremely thick fog means it cannot run its car ferries to and from Yarmouth, with the service now suspended until further notice. Customers are advised to make their way to Fishbourne/Portsmouth, where the service is still operating. Existing bookings will be accepted without any charge to change the route. Wightlink says they are very sorry for the changes to your travel plans. UPDATE @ 11:20 – The fog has now lifted, allowing the service to resume.
