A possession notice has appeared in the window of the former Paseo tapas restaurant on Ryde Esplanade, signalling the apparent permanent end of the seafront eatery.
The notice, dated 27th April, states that the landlord has “exercised their right to peaceably re-enter and take possession” of the ground floor premises at Esplanade, Ryde.
It adds that any “lease or licence is hereby determined” and warns that attempts to enter the property would be treated as a criminal offence and reported to the Police.
A separate notice displayed in the window says goods inside the building are available for collection until tomorrow (12th May). It warns that if they are not collected by that date, the landlord reserves the right to sell or dispose of the goods.
Paseo Tapas opened on Ryde seafront in the former Craft Vegan Pizza premises and was linked to the team behind Pickle & Dill delicatessen. However, in August 2025, the owners of Pickle & Dill announced they were no longer involved with the business.
The parting left Jason Killingback as the sole individual involved in the business.
Paseo has been quiet on social media since, and appears to have ceased trading in recent months.

Another ones bites the dust.
