Emergency services are this afternoon (Monday) attending a minor road traffic collision involving a single vehicle on Castle Lane in Carisbrooke.
Two appliances from the Isle of Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at around 13:00 alongside Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service after a single vehicle, believed to be driven by a woman, was involved in a collision whilst reversing, trapping the driver.
The woman has been helped from the vehicle, however has not required extrication. The second fire appliance from Newport Fire Station has been stood down.
Several Police units have responded to the scene, which is down a narrow lane near to Carisbrooke Castle.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured.
