East Cowes Vics celebrated promotion to the Wessex Premier League at their awards evening on Saturday (24th May).
The 2024/25 was the first season in the club’s history they have achieved promotion to the Premier division.
Vics had the best defensive record in their division, conceding 42 goals in 38 games. They also reached the Isle of Wight Senior (Gold) Cup final for the first time in over a decade as well as having a good run in the FA Vase.
2 players were received trophies for milestones of appearances – Jacob Reynolds for 100 games and Harrison Yates for 150 games.
Goal of the Season was awarded to Jacob Reynolds for his effort against Fairford Town in the FA Vase.
The Golden Boot was awarded to Scott Jones, who netted 19 times in 33 games.
Captain Liam Newbold was Supporters’ and Manager’s Player of the Year.
Rafferty Boyd-Kerr was Young Player of the Year.
There was a 3-way tie for Players’ Player of the Year between Liam Newbold, Rafferty Boyd-Kerr and Elliot Wheeler.
Elliot Wheeler was overall Player of the Year.
Long standing club servant Darren Dyer was awarded the title of Clubman of the year.
Goalkeeping coach Martyn Turner was presented with a leaving gift to commemorate his services to the club.
