A man who threatened to ‘knock out’ the headteacher of an Isle of Wight Secondary School before driving himself and his young son home has appeared before Isle of Wight Magistrates.
The court heard that 49-year-old David Frampton of Sydney Close, Newport, was ‘very regretful’ for the incident on the 2nd February which saw him attend the school and attempt to take his son home.
Teaching staff at the school, including its Head Teacher, tried to prevent him from removing his child after noticing his drunken state. It was at this point that Frampton became verbally abusive and made the threat.
He was then observed to drive his Mini Cooper – with his son aboard – away from the school in an erratic fashion and is said to have collided with the kerb several times.
Magistrates heard that the mother of Frampton’s child attended his address where she found the defendant unable to stand or speak properly due to his intoxicated state. The police then attended the address, at which point Frampton resisted arrest and bit a Police Constable on the leg.
Frampton, who was previously convicted for common assault and actual bodily harm in 2004, was handed an 18-month community order and must attend 20 rehabilitation days. He will also be required to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was also given a 20-month driving disqualification and ordered to pay £300 in costs, a £95 surcharge, and £50 in compensation.
Maybe a safeguarding meeting!. Threats, Drunkenness, at a school! Zero tolerance of that is needed. There are many others who dont need to be exposed to that, let alone his son.
Perhaps he should be muzzled in public too …
Should not be allowed to have kids. And should definitely not be allowed to have unsupervised access.
Let’s just hope his son doesn’t turn out the same. Sadly though, it’s probably only a matter of time. It has seemed for years now that it’s the worst types of people who breed the most. Think about it, think about what that means for society. They are what then constitutes society. They become the majority and society is run along the lines of it has to appeal to the majority, and when the majority are like that, just think about what it means for the rest of us. Something needs to change higher up to put a halt to all this and something needs to curtail the do gooders who constantly defend the worst types of people.

£50 compensation is that for the threat or being bitten in the leg. Either way he should have been jailed and banned from going anywhere near the Scholl again.
