The team at Red Squirrel Property Shop are celebrating after picking up the Best Corporate Social Responsibility award at this year’s Agents Giving Awards, with the firm’s Charlie Panayi also scooping the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising Award for 2024. The Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising Award, sponsored by Propertymark, is awarded to those who consistently go over and above with their charity and fundraising work. At a special ceremony in London earlier this month, it was recognised that Charlie, driven by the tragic passing of his sister, works endlessly to rally the troops to help raise awareness of a cause that means so much to him – Zoe’s Law. In the past 10 months alone Charlie has completed 12 challenges including climbing Everest, Kilimanjaro, Mount Etna and the 3 Peak Challenge, to name a few. As a result he has raised over £10,000 for charities such as Mountbatten Hospice, UKSA and The Wight Brainy Brunch, as well as tirelessly pushing for awareness for Zoe’s Law.
Speaking about his win, Charlie has said:
“To be awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for the UK was unexpected but definitely appreciated. I don’t do what I do for recognition, I do it to support those amazing charities that need our help, whilst raising awareness of my sister Zoe. “Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last 6/7 years with what I do, forever grateful”.
Red Squirrel was nominated for 4 awards overall – including Special Fundraising, Best Fundraising Campaign and Best Creative Fundraising – but it was the Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award that the team clinched on the night. Red Squirrel Property Shop has recently moved from St Thomas’ Square to Langley Court, just down the road off Pyle Street.
