Coastguard Rescue Teams from Ventnor and Newport have successfully rescued a dog from cliffs near Whitwell this evening (Sunday).
The emergency crews were called to the hard-to-access scene near to the old radio station at around 17:35 after reports were received that a small terrier had gone over the cliff edge and fallen around 30ft.
Rescue officers were lowered down and located the dog, before successfully reuniting it with its owners who were waiting at the top of the cliff.
