DISRUPTION has been minimized and life is getting back to normal for residents across the Island today following two days of wintry weather and blizzard-like conditions.
Just two roads remain closed this morning; St Lawrence Shute, Ventnor and Betty Haunt Lane, Newport while the following roads are passable with care:
– Ventnor to Whitwell Road
– Mersley Downs Road
– Brading Downs Road
– Blackgang to Niton
– Niton to Rookley
– Cowleaze Road, Shanklin, to Leeson Road, Ventnor
– Kingston to Shorwell
Waste collections are said to be running to a normal collection timetable today, however if you rubbish was not collected yesterday (Tuesday), it will be collected on Saturday.
Southern Vectis buses are running a normal service today and all school buses are running to time.
