Island Line services between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin are disrupted this evening (Wednesday), with no trains running after 21:30.
Operator South Western Railway say that additional engineering work will be taking place resulting in the 21:18 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head terminating at Ryde St Johns.
In addition, the 21:49 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin will be cancelled alongside the 22:38 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head.
However, conflicting information displayed at local stations suggests the disruption is down to staff shortages with the 19:00 and 20:00 to Ryde Pier Head and the 19:09 and 20:09 to Shanklin all cancelled.
Passengers are informed that tickets can be used on Southern Vectis bus routes 2 and 3.
