Both Isle of Wight sides – Ventnor and Ryde – were beaten in the only 2 games to escape the weather in the mainland leagues.
Shanklin & Godshill, Ventnor 2nds and Ryde 2nds all had their games cancelled because of high winds.
In Southern Premier Division 1, Ventnor 1sts lost to league leaders Basingstoke & North Hants at Steephill.
Ventnor won the toss and elected to bat but were skittled out with 1 ball remaining for 220. Martin Blackman top-scored before being run out for 80 runs. Rob Snell made 62 before being caught by Matt Deadman off the bowling of Wood.
Basingstoke & Northants surpassed Ventnor’s total for the loss of just 3 wickets with 3 overs to spare. Opener Matt Deadman put on 40 runs before being caught by Woodhouse off the bowling of Zach Wells. His opening partner Dubs Wood scored 46 before being caught and bowled by Calloway. Dan Coombs (65) and Callum Coombs (51) then made a partnership of 112 runs to ensure victory for the Hampshire side

Defeat leaves Ventnor 6th in Southern Premier Division 1 with 5 wins, 5 losses and a points average of 13.2.

In Hampshire Division 1, Ryde suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Odiham & Greywell at Harding Shute.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Odiham made an impressive 310 for the loss of 8 wickets in their 50 overs. Ikin (83) top-scored for the Hampshire side before being caught lbw off the bowling of Kerry Rice. Odiham captain Jack Malden made a knock of 61 before being clean-bowled by Rice.
Ryde made the modest total of 143 in reply, before being bowled out with 10 overs remaining. Opener Daniel Attrill top-scored for the home side with just 29 runs before being caught lbw by McGaughrin. His opening partner Durman put on 21 before being caught by Ikin off the bowling of Wiltshire.
Ryde 143 all out Odiham 3 & Greywell 310 Odiham won by 167 runs.
Ryde’s defeat leaves them 12th in the Division 1 table with 3 wins, 5 defeats and a points average of 12.88.
