The death of a man at a property in Newport earlier this month is not being treated as suspicious, despite social media rumours suggesting otherwise.
Police have today (Wednesday) confirmed that they were called to Caesars Road, Newport at 19:24 on Monday 20th April when concerns were raised for the welfare of a man.
Officers attended and sadly discovered the body of a man in his 30s.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has said:
