DAWN LIFTS THE THOMAS CUP AFTER A CHALLENGING AND MUCH-DELAYED FINAL

In a much-delayed final, 10 Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club ladies took to the course in dismal conditions to contest the Thomas Cup on Sunday 1st November.

This prize is played for annually by ladies who have won either a Stableford or Par competition throughout the preceding golfing year.

Triumphant amongst them was Dawn Hodge, with 36 points, winning on countback from Catherine Bachelor.

Brenda Keyte took third place with 27 points.
