Isle of Wight manufacturer Datum Electronics has been shortlisted for 3 Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Maritime UK Solent Awards in the Innovation, Clean Maritime Innovator of the Year and Employer of the Year categories.
Datum is 1 of only 3 Isle of Wight-based businesses to be shortlisted, alongside Red Funnel and Cowes Enterprise College.
The Maritime UK Solent Awards is the first regional maritime award celebrating the outstanding success of the Solent regional maritime cluster. The Solent region is intrinsically linked with the sea, and the maritime industry in the South is one of the most significant, innovative, and historic in the world. It creates £7.7 billion Gross Value Added per annum, which is 25% of the Solent’s total GVA, and supports 198,500 jobs.
