VIDEO: A shocking video has appeared on the social networking website Youtube showing the moment a doorman at a Newport pub pushed a member of the public into the path of an oncoming vehicle, which narrowly missed the man by just inches.
Footage from a dashboard camera inside a stationary vehicle – believed to have been captured last year – shows an unknown doorman outside Yates’ in Newport pushing a punter away towards the road. In just seconds, the situation escalates as the young male trips over a traffic cone, stumbling backwards into the middle of the High Street with an oncoming vehicle having to brake heavily and swerve to miss colliding with the man, who some say is lucky to be alive.
This video below shows how the quick-thinking reactions of the Nissan driver and the gap in parked cars averted a serious road traffic collision and potentially, a death. The incident took place early in the evening on Friday 15th February last year after the doorman was nudged, as shown in the video.
