Adrenaline-seekers are being encouraged to sign up for an exhilarating zip wire challenge this November, all in aid of Mountbatten Isle of Wight.
ZipFire 2025 will see participants launched 300 metres across the sky, from a height of 25 metres, in a unique night-time charity event set to light up the Isle of Wight. The one-night-only experience takes place on Saturday(8th November) and promises an unforgettable thrill, complete with fire cannons and spectacular views.
The annual challenge raises funds for the Isle of Wight’s only hospice, supporting Mountbatten’s 24/7 end-of-life care both at home and within its Newport-based inpatient unit.
There is now just one month left to register, set up a fundraising page and prepare to take to the skies in this one-of-a-kind event.
Entry costs £35 and includes the zip wire ride, a medal and certificate, and entry to ‘Fireworks with Mountbatten’ for the participant and one guest. However, transport to Robin Hill – whether parking or by shuttle – must be arranged separately.
All those taking part are asked to raise at least £150 to help Mountbatten continue delivering compassionate support through its services and the John Cheverton Centre.
Organiser Ash has said:
