UPDATED: Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are responding to a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist on Fairlee Road in Newport this morning (Thursday).
The incident has occurred at the junction with Halberry Lane. Police are on scene alongside their ambulance colleagues.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area with delays expected heading into Newport.
UPDATE @ 13:15 – A 66-year-old man has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with breathing difficulties after colliding into a wall.
The scene has now been cleared.
