Following on from 2012’s traffic delays, a number of contingency car parks were set up this year in case the main Festival car parks became inaccessible.
Thankfully, the contingency plans have not come into force allowing North Walk (Ryde), Appley Car Park (Ryde), Yaverland (Sandown), Fort Street (Sandown) and Yarmouth to reopen mid-morning on Thursday and again today (Friday).
Coppins Bridge car park remains closed for the time being, with Robin Hill Country Park and Isle of Wight Steam Railway car parks not being required.
UPDATE @ 13:15 – Coppins Bridge contingency car park has now reopened as per normal to the public.
