The McClelland Trophies were donated in 2018 by Margaret McClelland, Shanklin and Sandown’s longest-serving member.
This fun 9-hole Greensomes Stableford Competition is played twice a year and, as in previous years, Margaret was on hand to present her trophies.
This year, on 5th December, the honour was taken Connie Huntington and Christine O’Brien with 18 points The runners up were Anne Fisher and Susan Smith with 17 points. Nearest the pin on the 9th was won by Chris Gould.
LADIES’ CHRISTMAS CRACKER
Shanklin and Sandown’s annual Ladies’ Christmas Cracker competition was played on 3rd December.
The 9-hole Las Vegas Texas Scramble was won by Anne Fisher, Lorraine Harley, Bea Janes and Susan Smith scoring a nett 28.
Runners-up, scoring 29.5, were Chris Gould, Jan Hill, Hazel Smith and Amanda Wade.
Nearest the pin on the 9th was won by Fran Cole.
