A 48-year-old Island man has been handed a 16-month community order after he was caught with child sex abuse images.
Stephen Turner of White’s Mead in Lake, appeared before magistrates in Luton last week (Friday 21st March), having previously admitted 3 counts of making indecent photographs of children.
The offences took place in Bedfordshire between 16th February 2022 and 20th February 2024. When arrested, Turner was found in possession of a single category A image, a single category B image and 29 category C images.
The 48-year-old was handed a 16-month community order with 40 rehabilitation days and 150 hours of unpaid work attached. He was also handed a 5-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £95 surcharge fee.
Community order for someone that should not be nor is wanted in the community!!! WELL DONE!
So not just the Island dishing inappropriate punishments, do they all go to the same ” castles in the air” school of idiocy?
Thats labour for you, inprison less and less, community punishments are their only answer and we know they di not work.
