Church Hill in Shankin has been from its junction with Church Hollow to its junction with Hollow Lane for a distance of 381 metres.
This is to enable SGN to carry out repairs to leak.
The diversion will be via West Street, Whitwell Road, Merryl Lane & Sheepwash Lane
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The road was closed from 09:30 hours on 7th February 2020, for a maximum period of five days or until the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
