Next up was Sam, who was coming back from a recent knee injury. He won his first game 5-1, the knee holding out well!

Both boys then got into the swing of things and went on to win their next 2 matches; Sam with a final tough game in which he came back from 2-1 down to win 3-2.

With both boys winning their rounds it meant they met each other in the final. The final demonstrated some superb tennis from both competitors, one rally consisted of 15+ shots. It was Rory who managed to get past Sam’s strong cross court shots and to win the final, which means he goes through to the next round on the mainland.

Rory and Sam were excellent ambassadors for the College and played well all afternoon.
